The last word that John Murphy (41) spoke was to say “thanks” to the paramedics who helped him after the horrific industrial accident that would ultimately claim his life.
The father-of-two suffered third degree burns to 75pc of his body after an explosion as he worked for contractors on the roof of the Stryker plant in Anngrove, Cork on April 18th, 2023.
Despite being badly injured, John asked his manager to contact his mother, Eileen, to inform her what had happened. Ultimately, his brother Michael was contacted about the accident.
