Mitchelstown athlete Kotryna Pacerinskaite produced a staggering display at the 123.ie National U20 and U23 Track and Field Championships in Tullamore, ending the weekend with three gold medals.
The Fanahan McSweeney Athletic Club athlete continues her impressive run at national level, taking gold in the U23 Women’s Hammer Throw, U23 Women’s Weight for Distance and U23 Women’s Shot Put.
Kotryna has yet again broken her own championship record in the Weight for Distance, managing to throw the 28 pound metal weight an astonishing 8.89 metres. She had previously held the record in the event with a throw of 8.11 metres, before further improving the mark in Tullamore, Co Offaly. Claire Kennedy of Birr AC placed second in 6.85m.
