Now that a contract for the upgrades to Glenville Wastewater Treatment Plant have been awarded, the works are expected to take approximately 1 year to complete, Uisce Éireann have confirmed, and are to commence on site at the end of this month.
Updates were issued to Colm Burke TD on foot of queries the Deputy put to the services provider.
Welcoming the news, Deputy Burke noted that problems with the plant were preventing the growth of the village.
