The doors to Kilmagner National School’s new extension were officially opened on Monday, much to the delight of school pupils, staff and the wider community.

Bishop William Crean, who was invited to the opening to bless the school and mark the occasion, cut the ribbon alongside the school’s oldest pupil, Ava and youngest pupil, Saoirse.

Principal, Trevor Grumbridge, outlined that 2023 was a major year for Kilmagner NS, as the school welcomed the completion of a new classroom and office, the opening of a special class and a sensory room.
