Araglin native, Gráinne Kenneally, filled the dual role of captain and acting manager as the Irish Defence Forces secured the LGFA Interfirm 7s title, following two successive runner-up finishes.
The side got one over defending champions AIB by 4-5 to 0-4 in Saturday’s final at the GAA National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown, with Abbi Stafford scoring a hat-trick.
Players from the Army, Naval Service and Air Corps travelled from all over the county to form the winning Defence Forces’ squad.
