There were celebrations in Cappoquin on Saturday last, November 11, as the ribbon was officially cut on the town’s new post office.

Taking centre stage in the west Waterford town, the new post office is located at Blackwater House, a building which was recently revamped by the Cappoquin Regeneration Company Ltd.

Ballinamult local and Clashmore native, Jennie Moloney, will be at the helm, taking over as the postmistress, having been raised in the postal industry and having worked in the service, on and off since the age of 18.
