Volkswagen and Skoda car owners are advised to be on high alert, as it is believed that thieves operating in the locality are targeting certain car models.
The brazen persistence of these thieves was highlighted this week, as one woman spoke to The Avondhu about how she discovered that a man had been outside her home for at least six nights in a row, in an effort to gain access to her car.
Rachael Dorgan, who lives in the Watergrasshill area, explained that on the night of Thursday, October 15, she thought she had seen someone outside her kitchen window.
