Almost €165,000 has been allocated to Mitchelstown for the development of age friendly features under the Government’s Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2018.
Funding will be allocated to Cork County Council who will deliver the projects in tandem with the local communities.
Cllr Kay Dawson expressed her delight at the news that Mitchelstown Forum were successful in their application for funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
“It’s wonderful for all involved in the age friendly committee who are working tirelessly to make Mitchelstown an age friendly town.”
