
Professor Thomas M Cooney has been announced as the winner of the European Entrepreneurship Education Award (EEEA) for 2026. A Professor from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), Prof Cooney is a native of Fermoy and past pupil of St Colman’s College.
The prestigious award is conferred annually by the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship to acknowledge individuals or organisations that have significantly advanced entrepreneurship education within the academic community across Europe.
Recipients of the EEEA award are honoured with a diploma and a monetary prize of 100,000SEK (Swedish Krona – approx. €9,500), emphasising the value and impact of their contributions to the field.
