Grannies and grandads took pride of place in Castlelyons National School last week for the always popular, Grandparents’ Day – an opportunity for the older generation to interact with their grandchildren in the modern and comfortable environment that is Scoil Náisiúnta Caisleán Uí Liatháin (Castlelyons National School).
Visitors to the school were welcomed by príomhoide, Nelius de Róiste, who said it was great to see grandparents taking such an interest in the educational lives of their grandchildren. Guests were then given a guided tour of the school that places special emphasis on children with additional needs.
