There will be two separate events this coming weekend to honour General Liam Lynch, with former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern delivering an oration in Fermoy as part of the schedule.
On Friday, in Anglesboro, birthplace of General Liam Lynch, the General Liam Lynch National Commemoration Committee, along with the Anglesboro Historical Society, will present an oral account and pictorial representation of the life of Liam Lynch. This presentation will be made by local historian Neil Donovan, and will be accompanied by an exhibition by Dolores Lynn, titled ‘To the Letter’.
With the events kicking off at 8pm in Anglesboro Hall, music will be provided by Mitchelstown Comhaltas Ceoiltoiri Éireann. Entry is free and there are bar facilities in the hall.
