Eight social houses are due to be completed in Rathcormac by March of this year according to Cork County Council.
This 8-house scheme is a Turnkey housing development being constructed for Cork County Council for social housing use by DNR Homes in the village.
The development, which is due for completion in March, will provide much needed housing for families in the Rathcormac area.
Cllr Frank O’Flynn welcomed the news and said the eight houses will help to ease the number of people on the social housing list in the area.
“These houses are built to a very high standard in relation to insulation and they will be very cost effective in relation to heating,” Cllr O’Flynn told The Avondhu.
