
Former and serving colleagues of Sergeant Jerry Quinn, turned out in force last Friday night for his retirement party in Mitchelstown Golf Club. The attendance reflected the popularity of the long serving Cratlow native.
Having graduated from Templemore in 1984, the enthusiastic recruit was posted to Mitchelstown; there would be stints at other locations in north Cork, but he would ultimately settle in Mitchelstown – a community he has huge time for.
“I’m proud to have spent so much of my life in Mitchelstown, I was always made feel welcome. I got on well with locals and I’ve always been impressed with the strength of local sporting and social groups,” he said.
