Major progress is being made on the former Lismore Bank of Ireland site, which is in the process of being transformed into a boutique hostel and glamping pod location.

On Friday last, members of the Lismore Town Association, Waterford City and County Council, and Waterford Leader Partnership gathered on site as they broke ground on the gamping pod project, now underway to the rear of the building.

“It’s been 18 months in the making really and we’ve been working with great partners such as Waterford Leader Partnership and Waterford County Council and also along with all my great colleagues here as part of Lismore Town Association. We’re finally breaking ground this week …” said Aoife Dunne, chairperson of the Lismore Town Association.
