Fundraising is important for every club and Galtee Gaels GAA is no different. On Friday night last, in the comfortable surroundings of Dan Casey’s Bar, women and men associated with this famous Limerick club, gathered for a very enjoyable table quiz.

A fine crowd attended and there was a great atmosphere as club members’ competitive streak was channelled into beating the quiz master and attempting to win one of the many attractive prizes on offer.

The quiz was overseen by Liam Allen, Margaret Ann McGrath and Susan Moloney who had everything in place in advance of the 9pm start time. As patrons kept turning up after this time, it was just a little past 9.30pm before the first question was posed. As is usually the case at these events, some participants took things more serious than others, but overall, the standard of answering was high with little separating the top teams.
