Fermoy’s Sandy Blackley is among those set to travel to Ukraine with a convoy of 4×4 vehicles packed with medical supplies and humanitarian aid, with fundraising currently underway.
Mr Blackley, who has been hosting two Ukrainian mothers and their sons since April, said that he is looking forward to the journey, which will depart Ireland on Thursday, November 24.
A convoy of about ten 4×4 vehicles, with supplies, will be brought to Ukraine by Sandy and fellow drivers, who will then leave the vehicles behind with their Ukrainian counterparts to be used by the support services to the army.
