This week brought the damning news that AIB are to make 70 of its 170 branches cashless, including the branches in Mitchelstown, Glanmire and Lismore.
The affected branches will no longer offer cash or cheque services, bank drafts or foreign exchange.
Furthermore, the affected banks are to lose their outside ATMs. The news has been met with condemnation by local councillors, business associations and other parties.
The above named local branches are scheduled to be cashless from October 21st.
