National Learning Network (NLN) Cork has welcomed a strong turnout at its recent National Open Evening at Seward House, Model Farm Road, with prospective learners, families, local employers, educators, community members and special guests attending the event.

The evening provided an opportunity for visitors to meet the NLN team, tour the centre and learn more about the range of free, fully funded education and training courses available to learners in Cork.

Among those attending were the Lord Mayor of Cork, Damian Boylan, and Valerie Lucey, Cork College of FET Project Management, who joined local community members and guests in supporting the work of NLN and its commitment to creating opportunities for people across the community.

NLN provides personalised education and training, with specialist supports tailored to the individual needs of each learner. Its courses are designed to help people build confidence, develop practical skills and progress towards employment, further education and greater independence.

Hannah Plant, Manager at National Learning Network Model Farm Rd,, said: “We were delighted to welcome so many people through our doors for the Open Evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work we do and to connect with learners, families and the wider Cork community.

“We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. The level of interest and support from the local community was fantastic.”
