Renowned snooker player, Jimmy White, was the big attraction at a fundraising event held in Tallow Community Centre on Wednesday, 14th May.
A joint venture between Tallow Snooker Club and the West Waterford & East Cork Schoolboy Soccer Association (WW/EC), the exhibition helped raise funds to send the association’s U13 team to The Galway Cup, which takes place in August. The event promoter was David ‘Davey’ Joyce from Fermoy. Davey said he was delighted with how things went.
“We had a brilliant night, Jimmy was in great form and we saw some excellent snooker, especially from Ross Bulman, CYMS Youghal; the venue was first class and the large crowd really enjoyed the occasion” he said.
