Family, friends, past-pupils and colleagues all gathered in St Patrick’s Church Fermoy last Thursday to honour Sisters Nuala Reidy, Cecilia Walsh and Ide Kiely who have now left their beloved home of Fermoy to live in a retirement home for Loreto nuns in Kilkenny.
The farewell Mass was concelebrated by Fr Brian Boyle, Bishop William Crean and Fr Sean Barry assisted by Fr Mark Hehir.
Many words of praise and thanks were shared and many shed a tear to see the sisters leave the town which they had become synonymous with.
