Pat O’Connor from Castletownroche and his crew members Eoin O’Farrell, Sean Underwood and Tommy Browne have completed the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge 2017 in 32 days 22 hours and 4 minutes.
They were the 6th team to cross the finish line out of 28 race entrants, which is an amazing achievement.
The boys took part in the grueling challenge to raise much needed funds for CUH Children’s Unit. The boys have hit above and beyond their target of €20,000 as they have raised over €24,000 to date.
Considering Pat had no rowing experience prior to rowing across the Atlantic, it would be fair to say that this was his greatest challenge yet.
