The first phase of a €3.5 million project to upgrade Mitchelstown’s wastewater infrastructure has been completed, with Uisce Éireann saying the ongoing works will support future growth of the town, including ‘including the development of essential new homes’.
The initial phase involved upgrading the gravity sewer main on Clonmel Road, with the second phase expected to focus on upgrades to the existing wastewater pumping station.
Although exact figures were not made clear, Uisce Éireann echoed how the project will increase wastewater treatment capacity and deliver more reliable and sustainable wastewater services for the local community.
