A local dog-owner is warning the public of the dangers associated with the rise in personal protective equipment (PPE) related litter.
While out walking with her dog in the countryside, the dog managed to swallow a face mask resulting in a worrying incident that saw the dog requiring immediate veterinary assistance.
“He just grabbed the facemask and I could not get it off him and he swallowed it,” the woman said.
She immediately rang the vet and was directed to Glen Veterinary in Tipperary, where the Labrador received an injection to induce vomiting.
