The close-knit Mitchelstown community has been left in shock after the brutal attack that left a dad of four dead.
Disbelief, dismay and disgust — heartfelt emotions on messages left at the scene of Friday nights fatal assault said it all.
Michael Dineen made no reply when charged with murdering Patrick O'Donnell in Willie Andies Public House at New Square, Mitchelstown on June 1.
He appeared at a special sitting of Mallow District Court at 3.30pm on 3rd June 2018, charged in relation to the death of Mr O'Donnell in Mitchelstown.
Patrick O’Donnell was the father of four young children including a baby born a few weeks ago. He lived with his long-time partner and was a settled traveller who resided in Mitchelstown.
