Devonshire Day returns to Lismore Castle

The popular Devonshire Day will return to Lismore Castle on Sunday, April 19th, offering visitors a rare opportunity to enjoy a traditional Devonshire Cream Tea inside one of Ireland’s most historic castles.

Guests will be welcomed to the castle’s elegant Pugin Room, where Devonshire Cream Tea will be served under the guidance of the Duke of Devonshire’s butler. The experience also includes a historical talk on Lismore Castle, followed by a guided tour of the castle gardens.

Devonshire Day has become a popular annual tradition and is a once-a-year event not normally available to visitors. The event is a fundraiser organised by the ‘Immrama Festival of Travel Writing’ committee – the Immrama Festival will take place this year from June 11th – 14th. The use of the castle and gardens for this fundraiser is by kind permission of the owner of Lismore Castle, Lord and Lady Burlington.

Tea and tours take place at 11.30am, 12.40pm, 1.50pm, 3pm and 4.10pm. Entrance is by ticket only. Tickets are available online and can be bought through the Immrama website: www.lismore-immrama.com, Eventbrite or contact Niamh at 086 3618264. Tickets cost €27.55 including booking fee.
