The Fermoy Municipal District meeting heard on Tuesday that Minister Sean Canney intends seeking to advance a bid for capital funding for Fermoy Weir from the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government.
The news was given in an update to the meeting from Cork County Council by SEO of the Municipal District, Mary Hayes.
Ms Hayes told the members that correspondence was received on February 11 from the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment at the request of Minister of State, Sean Canney.
