A young lady who recently moved to Ballyporeen in County Tipperary was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Biotechnology Degree Scholarship by one of Ireland’s leading research-based pharmaceutical companies, Janssen Sciences Ireland UC.

Following a rigorous application process, which saw the selection of six finalists, Stefanie Marques pitched her ambitions to the Janssen Sciences team and although she didn’t get the scholarship, she told The Avondhu that she was absolutely delighted to have been offered the opportunity.

“To be recognised by a company of this calibre is a privilege that I’m incredibly grateful for.  I feel really blessed to have made it this far …”
