A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery at Cappoquin Credit Union earlier this week.
On Tuesday, gardaí issued a statement confirming that the man was being detained at Dungarvan Garda Station in connection with the robbery that occurred on Monday, April 7.
“Gardaí attached Lismore, Cappoquin and Dungarvan, arrested a male on suspicion of robbery this morning who is currently detained at Dungarvan Garda Station.
“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and especially the wonderful people of Cappoquin who came forward and assisted us in making a speedy arrest in this serious crime,” the statement read.
