Friday’s eagerly awaited results from the 2025 SuperValu TidyTowns Awards brought much joy for several local groups, with some claiming special awards at the national ceremony, held in Croke Park in Dublin.
Significant point gains were made by Lisgoold Leamlara (17), Mitchelstown (16) and Glanworth (15), while Coolagown claimed a county first and a gold medal, with medals also awarded to Lismore, Galbally, Kildorrery and Cahir. Kilworth were recipients of 3rd prize in the EPA Circular Economy Award.
COOLAGOWN
Heavy-hitters in the annual competition, Coolagown, once again made away with the gold medal and county 1st, scoring 390 points in Category A in Cork North.
