Castletownroche and Killavullen are to be serviced by Local Link bus services on Saturdays, as confirmed by Bus Éireann after significant changes were announced for Route 243 Newmarket to Cork.
News of this comes as the issue of the service to Castletownroche ceasing was raised by Cllr William O’Leary at last week’s meeting of the Fermoy Municipal District.
At the meeting Cllr O’Leary said that to take the service away from the village was ‘cruel’, as he said he has been informed that the service ‘wasn’t feasible any more’.
