Galbally Rugby star Brendan Childs was named Munster Junior player of the year after the province beat Connacht recently in their final match of the Interprovincial junior competition.

It capped a memorable year for the 28 year-old Galbally captain who said winning the prestigious award was due to a lot of hard work.
