FAI CEO, John Delaney and his team of administrators and players covered a lot of ground last weekend in the build-up to the association's AGM which was held in Cork.
On Wednesday, August 15, their tour took in Fermoy and Watergrasshill – both well run and progressive clubs.
Carrig Park, home to Fermoy Soccer Club was first up with the main business of the morning being the opening of the club's new Astroturf facility.
There was a noisy and enthusiastic reception for the FAI bus in Watergrasshill – a light drizzle doing little to dampen the energy levels of the club's boys and girls.
