Funding to the tune of €1.02 billion has been announced under the Department of Health’s 2022 Capital Plan, with a significant portion of this funding being announced for local projects.
St Patrick’s Community Hospital in Fermoy is one of the big beneficiaries, with funding of €4.13 million announced. According to the Department, such funding will go towards ensuring HIQA compliance and towards the refurbishment and extension of the facility.
