Sport Ireland Campus is delighted to launch the inaugural Strive Fitness Race, which takes place on Sunday, September 21st as part of European Week of Sport.

In partnership with Ireland Active, this new technology-powered fitness race featuring live leaderboards has been designed for both beginners and more advanced fitness enthusiasts. Fitness racing combines elements of running and functional fitness exercises, to test strength, endurance and fitness.

Race participants must take part in pairs, and there will be 2 levels to suit people of all ages and fitness levels. The morning sessions will be for those starting their fitness racing journey (Strive Fitness Challenge), while the afternoon sessions will be more advanced for those who exercise more regularly (Strive Fitness Race).

“The initiative is funded by the European Commission and led by Sport Ireland as part of European Week of Sport, which aims to increase the level of participation in sport and physical activity in the EU and beyond,” Dr Úna May, CEO of Sport Ireland, said. “Fitness racing is growing all over the world and we’re delighted to include in this year’s schedule.”

Tickets are now available to book – also, follow social media channels for the release or visit www.sportirelandcampus.ie/strive for more information.
