May 9th, 2025 was a memorable day of outdoor learning for the children of Castletownroche National School.
Students from 1st to 6th class set off early on a bright and sunny morning on a bus bound for Redbarn near Youghal.
We were taking part in the ‘Big Little Beach Clean’, organised by the Ballynamona Clean Coast organisation.
On arrival at Red Barn, we were broken up into smaller groups and given different coloured bibs so that they would not lose each other. Then the first in a series of workshops got underway.
