As we pulled into the car park in Mallow at 11.55 we were surprised to see the number of Ballygiblin supporters already parked and heading to the stand. It was obvious that lessons had been learned from last year’s Munster final; that game had to be delayed for 15 minutes due to the volume of traffic.

The same mistake would not be made today. The supporters were also hoping that the team and management would make no mistakes and take home the Munster title again.

It was a cold day in the Mallow, so the sun that was popping in and out was warmly welcomed by those sitting in the stand. With temperatures of only 6-7 degrees, the Bally’ supporters were well wrapped up. The red and white bobble hats were everywhere, a wonderful sight.
