West Street residents prepare to protest over speeding

Residents of West Street in Tallow are preparing to mobilise for a day of action in a bid to secure traffic calming measures for the busy street.

This Friday, June 12th at 4.20pm, residents are planning to gather ‘from the bridge to the Conna end of the street’, where for almost a decade, residents have put up with high speeds and collisions.

According to West Street resident, Helen Conway, residents are now calling for a reduction of the speed limit to 30kph, and for speed bumps or ramps to be put in place.
