Mitchelstown’s Anne Marie Corbett continues to draw all eyes upon her, as the stylish local garnered a feather for her cap with the ‘Best Hat’ award at the Galway Races Festival last week.

Sporting an orange, red and yellow headpiece from Galway milliner Emily Jean, Ms Corbett paired the showstopping accessory with an orange frock from Phoenix V Boutique in Cork City, and gold heels from Susza in Fermoy; her efforts scooped the €3,000 prize on offer.

Speaking with The Avondhu this week, Ms Corbett said her interest in fashion began at 16, as did her attendance at racing.

Dressing for the occasion for 19 yerars now, she styled the Galway outfit herself, beginning with the winning hat which she spotted back in July.
