JJ Kavanagh and Sons Waterford Intermediate Hurling Championship final
Ballyduff Upper 3-17 Roanmore 3-10
Ballyduff Upper will compete in the Waterford Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship for the first time in 2027 after they captured a fifth county Intermediate crown, beating Roanmore in this year’s JJ Kavanagh and Sons county Intermediate hurling final at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field on Saturday evening last.
The Reds last won this competition in 2020 when they beat Ballyduff Lower at the same venue, but back then they moved straight up to the Senior ranks as there was no Premier Intermediate Championship at the time, while they last competed in the final of the competition just two years ago when they lost out to Portlaw again at the Dungarvan venue.
