A huge win for Irish beauty on a global stage, as independently owned skincare company, VOYA, was voted Spa Skincare Brand of the Year at the Destination Deluxe Awards 2026, triumphing over some of the biggest and best-known names in international luxury skincare.

The award was announced on Tuesday night, September 23rd, at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, during the Destination Deluxe Awards & Wellness Summit, an event which brings together leaders from the worlds of wellness, travel, beauty, luxury hospitality and spa, with its awards recognising excellence across 25 categories. More than 1,000 nominations were received from around the world.

Founded in Strandhill, Co. Sligo, 20 years ago and rooted in Ireland’s centuries old tradition of seaweed bathing, VOYA entered the international competition alongside a formidable field of skincare and wellness brands, with the category assessed by an international panel of recognised industry experts.

VOYA’s victory is particularly significant given the scale of the international brands against which it was assessed. Remaining independently owned and headquartered in Sligo, the company has grown from the Walton family’s traditional seaweed-bathing business into an internationally recognised luxury skincare and wellness brand, while remaining anchored in its Irish coastal heritage.

The award marks a major milestone for VOYA during its 20th-anniversary year.

Mark Walton, co-founder of VOYA, said that “20 years on, we remain every bit as passionate about creating exceptional skincare and wellness experiences embedded in our home here on Ireland’s west coast.”
