Anita Geaney to showcase works in solo exhibition

Artist, Anita Geaney.

Anita Geaney is proud to present her exciting new solo exhibition ‘Visions Of Colour’ at the West End Art Studios, Mallow, which opens this Friday, October 2nd.

Anita is a visual artist and printmaker living in Killavullen since 1999 and is also a member of Cork Printmakers. Using oils, acrylics, collage and stone lithography, she creates colour-rich, expressive, joyful work. The exhibition will feature a wide selection of her newest paintings, as well as a limited number of lithography prints.

Nature is Anita’s inspiration, allowing her to express her delight felt when immersed in beautiful, wild locations, be they her own garden or other Irish landscapes.

Combining her vivid imagination, memory and an expressive, free flowing style, her work starts with observational drawings which focus on form and rhythm created by natural and man made features. She will often use colours felt, rather than seen. She brings the viewers’ attention to those habitats which are vital to our own existence and ultimately, to all life on earth.

The exhibition opens this Friday, October 2nd and will run each Friday, Saturday and Sunday until October 18th. Viewing is highly recommended. Opening night reception on Friday 2nd is from 6pm to 9pm. All are welcome and entry is free.
