Cross country trek for pilgrims finishes in Galbally

Taking inspiration from the world renowned Camino de Santiago in Spain, members of the Galbally based Hillwalking Radio Club, in association with Glen of Aherlow Fáilte Society, organised a 15km ‘Pilgrims’ Way Walk’ event, that took place last Sunday in glorious sunshine. 

Upwards of 60 people participated, with registration taking place in Galbally Community Centre. Walkers, were transported by bus to the Glen of Aherlow, before taking on a cross country hike that took in prominent locations such as Christ Church, the Shrough Dolmen and the Giant’s Grave.
