At this stage most villages, towns and cities are well equipped when it comes to defibrillators.
The Mallow catchment is well served with such groups now fully operational in Mallow, Doneraile, Buttevant and most recently Shanballymore.
Getting units up and running needs a main driver and in Catherine Ryan, Shanballymore has a single minded, determined and well organised individual who has brought this project to fruition.
