On Monday morning last, Tipperary’s county games manager, Dinny Maher and his van pulled up outside Ballyporeen National School (Scoil Teampall Toinne) and Skeheenarinky NS, where he and his entourage received a rousing welcome from blue and gold clad pupils. 

On the inter-county scene, the attention of managers is already shifting to the 2020 season. All aspire to win silverware but only a handful achieve this goal. 

There’s no greater prize in hurling than the Liam McCarthy Cup and with competition at an all-time high, getting one’s hands on this trophy has never been harder.
