Long-awaited works are due to being on the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Mitchelstown in the next month, and according to Irish Water will be completed at the latest by early 2023.
The works will allow for the construction of approximately 600 houses; however, the council will not be giving the go-ahead for building work just yet.
Cllr Deirdre O’Brien confirmed the news last week, and through correspondence with the council also confirmed that the “timeframe is short” as some planning permissions for developments are due to elapse in November this year, and another due to elapse in January 2023.
