Cork County Council’s Arts Office is pleased to announce an open call for submissions to the LHQ Gallery Winter Exhibition 2026, which invites artists and makers from across County Cork to showcase their work in a group exhibition celebrating the county’s diverse creative talent.
The annual Winter Exhibition will run at LHQ Gallery, Carrigrohane Road, Cork, from November to December 2026, providing a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their work in one of Cork County Council’s key exhibition spaces.
Artists working across all disciplines are encouraged to apply. The exhibition welcomes existing works produced within the last five years, including two-dimensional works such as painting, photography, printmaking, drawing and mixed media; three-dimensional works including ceramics, sculpture, textiles and artist books; as well as multimedia works. Submitted works must be small to medium in scale, with a maximum size of A2.

Opportunities such as the LHQ Gallery Winter Exhibition are vital in providing artists with a professional platform to present their work, connect with audiences and contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of County Cork,” Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Bernard Moynihan, said.
The exhibition is open to artists who are from county Cork or currently reside in the county. Artists may submit one or two works for consideration and all selected works must be delivered in person by the artist or their representative. Cork County Council’s Arts Office takes no commission on sales, and all sales enquiries received during the exhibition will be directed to artists directly.
