Working closely with towns, Waterford City & County Council has drawn up road maps for renewal, which will enhance and develop these locations. Cappoquin is a case in point, with significant plans already formulated to tackle the town’s dereliction issues.
Neighbouring Lismore, also intends going down the renewal and regeneration route and the ground work is being put in place thanks to the efforts of voluntary group, ‘Lismore Town Centre First’ (LTCF).
Group chairman, Gráinne Moynihan and her colleagues, took to the streets last Friday to raise awareness of the plan and rally support.
