Watergrasshill men taking on trek ‘of a lifetime’ for Le Chéile

Two Watergrasshill men are planning to take on the trek of a lifetime, from Malin Head to Mizen Head, all in aid of a charity co-founded by local, Derry Desmond. 

Mr Desmond and Edward (Pips) O’Connell are gearing up for the epic challenge in aid of the charity, of which Derry is a full-time volunteer in Solai, Kenya.  

According to Derry, he is aiming to return home to Ireland on June 14, the day before he plans to take on the trek which is expected to be over 601 kilometres or 375 miles, estimated at just over 1 million steps.
