Search efforts in Killavullen and surrounds were called off on Wednesday night, May 5 as Mallow man Dean Roberts was thankfully found ‘safe and well’, according to Gardaí.
A missing persons appeal had been issued earlier this week to locate the whereabouts of the 41-year-old.
Searches were carried out both on Tuesday and Wednesday in Killavullen and the Nagles area, where Dean was believed to be, in an attempt to locate him. Dean had been missing from his home in Mallow since 9am on Tuesday, May 4, with the alarm being raised that afternoon.
Emergency services and a number of volunteer organisations participated in the search.
Gardaí have thanked members of the public for their assistance in the missing persons appeal.
