Araglin’s Darragh Allen achieved a major sporting milestone over the weekend, riding his 100th point-to-point winner.

Fourteen years since he first began on the point-to-point circuit, Allen secured the landmark win for while aboard Terence O’Brien’s Cokoriko in the older mares’ maiden in Dungarvan, getting the better of Tiffiny’s Girl at the line by a half-length in the colours of British owner, Derrick Mossop.

“It took me long enough to get there. It was coming with a while, but I hadn’t ridden a winner with a few months so I was starting to think it was never going to come to be honest,” a delighted Mr Allen told The Avondhu
